Casa Suro is part of a large estate that, centuries ago, was home to one of the first Benedictine communities on the Iberian Peninsula (9th century). Today, this former convent has been carefully restored, preserving its essence and using local materials and handcrafted elements to offer an authentic and serene experience in the heart of nature.

The name Casa Suro is no coincidence: suro means cork in Catalan — a tribute to the region’s rich cork-producing tradition. The surrounding cork oak forests of Les Gavarres have supplied, for centuries, some of the world’s finest champagne houses.

The house features three bedrooms —two with en-suite bathrooms and one with a private bathroom just across the hall— a spacious kitchen and dining area equipped with top-of-the-line appliances, and a cozy living room with a large fireplace. In summer, the covered terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy meals outdoors while taking in the open views of the landscape.

In front of the house, a private garden invites guests to unwind in complete tranquility. In addition, there is access to over 3,000 m² of shared outdoor spaces: grassy areas, shaded corners, a Mediterranean vegetable garden, and a large swimming pool. The estate’s vastness and natural surroundings ensure a deep sense of privacy all year round.

A well-maintained dirt road, suitable for any type of vehicle, provides easy access to the house. Just 15 minutes away lies La Bisbal d’Empordà, the county’s capital with all necessary services, and within 20 minutes you can reach some of the most beautiful and peaceful beaches of the Costa Brava.
